Preparation

  1. Blanch and peel the tomatoes
  2. Preheat the oven to 450°F  and place a rack in the highest position.
  3. Chop tomatoes and combine with garlic, oil, vinegar, basil, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Cut the baguette into half-inch thick slices and toast them in the oven.
  5. Toss the toasted bread with the tomato mixture and serve.
